Eagle Square is one of the best known manmade attractions in Langkawi

Eagle Square - Dataran Lang is one of the best known manmade attractions in
Langkawi. a large statue of an eagle dignified to take flight. A sight that welcomes guests to the island through boat, the 12 meter-tall statue is one of the island's most in flash unique landmarks.


Situated at the southeast corner of Pulau Langkawi, other than offering wonderful viewpoints on Kuah Bay, Dataran Lang has lovely small fountains, patios and bridges, making it the perfect spot for those postcard- trip occasion photographs.

The square is a decent spot to watch ships handle over the harbor however plan an outing here promptly in the first part of the day or late at night when the sun is in any event outstanding.

The reddish brown eagle at Dataran Lang was made as a symbol of the island. As indicated by old stories Langkawi's name originated from two Malay words – 'helang' (eagle) and 'kawi' (reddish brown colored): consequently lang-kawi.

Nearby the CHOGM Park and Taman Lagenda Dalam Langkawi, the landmarks is also within walking distance of some of the best duty-free shops  in Langkawi and the Jetty Point Mall. Especially you can buy  chocolates and alcohol here.


Another place is Pulau Langkawi is the largest island of the 99 that make up the Langkawi archipelago in north-western Malaysia. Despite not having very beautiful beaches, in recent years it has become an important tourist focus , especially for the Malays themselves, but also for the Chinese, the Russians and the Japanese. And it is that the mix between a lush and rural natural environment, of rice fields and green hills, with some of the most modern tourist attractions in the country, attract a good number of visitors every year.
